New Smart Softball Uniform

The Western Cape Sport School has finally received their independence on and off the field  for club level.

For four years the softball girls have fought to become independent from other clubs and stand alone as the Western Cape Sport School.

The light at the end of the tunnel has arrived and now the Western Cape Sport School is playing under their own name. The Western Cape Sport School has two teams playing in the first and fourth division.

We wish the girls well for the season as both teams have won their games so far!!!

Self-Esteem By Linea Smidt

Self-Esteem

UWC Peer Counselors have joined with the Western Cape Sport School to help enrich the female learners on body image and status.

This common issue which has become a norm within society has resulted in many girls feeling depressed or not worthy enough.

The aim is to re-build confidence in young woman and girls in order for them to love themselves and embrace who they are.

The approach focused on the positive and negative impact the media has on females. The objective is for females to love themselves and to make them happy in life.

This partnership between UWC and the Western Cape Sport School is long-term and is a positive outcome for the female learners.
